This role sits within Moelis Australia, MA Financial Group's Corporate Advisory division, providing investment banking services and strategic financial advice to clients across mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt capital markets, strategic advisory and capital structure advisory.

Associate 1 / 2 – Corporate Advisory (Industrials & Business Services)

\n

We are seeking an Associate to join our Industrials & Business Services sector team within Corporate Advisory. The successful candidate will support the execution of M&A and capital raising transactions, prepare client materials, contribute to financial analysis, market research and sector coverage across the Industrials & Business Services industry in Australia and globally. The role also offers significant exposure to private equity clients, working across a broad range of M&A transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of M&A and capital raising transactions
\n
• Prepare marketing pitchbooks, transaction materials, client presentations and other relevant materials
\n
• Gather and analyse public and private company information, industry data and market intelligence
\n
• Build and maintain financial modelling, undertake company valuations and perform detailed financial analysis
\n
• Draft transaction related materials, including Information Memorandums,
\n
• Management Presentations and other process documents
\n
• Maintain internal databases covering M&A transactions, restructuring situations, debt and equity capital markets activity
\n
• Support ongoing sector coverage, including market updates, company monitoring and thematic research
\n
• Provide technical guidance, support and review of junior work before it is signed off at a senior level
\n

Skills and Attributes

\n

\n
• Between 3 and 6 years of relevant work experience in investment banking (bulge bracket or boutique investment bank), or in the corporate finance / valuations / transaction services team of a Big 4 accounting firm
\n
• Excellent financial modelling, valuation, analytical and technical skills
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts
\n
• Experience in providing technical guidance, support and review of junior team member's work
\n
• Demonstrate an interest in the industrials & business services sector
\n
• Team-oriented, highly motivated and detail-focused, with a strong work ethic
