This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate early career Project Coordinator to join a Melbourne based team committed to solving complex issues and delivering meaningful outcomes for our clients, people and communities.

As part of the FGA Projects team, you will work alongside experienced project managers and multidisciplinary teams to support the delivery of projects across a range of sectors, including health, education, government and commercial environments.

Salary expectations are between 55-70k commensurate with experience. 6 month contact with opportunity to extend.

About Your Role and Impact

As a Project Coordinator, you will be a key member of the FGA Projects team, supporting the delivery of high quality client outcomes across multiple projects.

You will work across both client-side and head contract projects, collaborating with clients, consultants, contractors and the wider FGA team. This is an opportunity to build practical experience across the project lifecycle while developing your capability towards a future Project Management role.

Your role will include the opportunity to:

• Collaborate with and support the wider FGA team in the design and delivery of transformative zero-carbon, energy efficiency, building services and fitout projects.
• Support the delivery of high-quality outcomes across multiple projects as part of multidisciplinary teams, planning and managing multiple priorities.
• Work on both client-side and head contract projects, gaining exposure to different project delivery environments.
• Support projects through business case planning, design coordination, documentation, cost planning, procurement, works implementation and post-completion quality assurance.
• Build and nurture effective relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders, applying active listening and critical thinking to understand project needs, risks, opportunities and expectations.
• Support project planning, sequencing, resource and activity planning, cost management and project reporting.
• Assist with procurement and contract management processes.
• Contribute to project progress reporting and the communication of project outcomes internally and externally.
• Support the strengthening of client relationships and contribute to business development activities.
• Take ownership of your responsibilities, work with initiative and your ability to learn and grow.
• Work towards a Project Management role.

About Your Qualifications and Experience

Recognised Tertiary Qualification: Degree in Engineering, Architecture and/or Project Management. Final year students will be accepted.

Ability to create outcomes and drive contractors and consultants to achieve desired goals, project programs and financials.

Experience working as part of multi-disciplinary teams.

Experience in the preparation of professional reports.

Strong problem solving and critical thinking.

Initiative and passion for getting it done right.

We highly regard

• Education or accreditations in project management (i.e., Prince2, PMP, AIPM Certification)
• Local industry experience in project management or engineering.
• Experience managing construction or consultant teams.
• Experience in managing small-medium sized projects or maintaining accountability for some or all aspects of larger projects.
• Experience in a client-facing role and presenting to clients.
• Experience in delivering projects involving building services, electrification, energy efficiency, energy management, renewable energy or clean energy systems.
• Experience managing or coordinating contractors and/or consultants.
• Qualifications or experience in managing OHS systems and obligations.
