Labourer / Road Worker – Traffic Signals \n
Location: Russell Vale Depot, NSW
Pay Rate: $45.45 per hour + super
Contract: 3 months, with potential extension
Start: ASAP
Roster: 9-day fortnight
Shift: Predominantly night shift – Sunday to Thursday, 6:00pm–2:30am

APG Workforce is seeking an experienced Labourer / Road Worker to join a traffic signals construction team based from Russell Vale Depot .
\n
This hands-on role will support the installation, maintenance and upgrade of traffic signal infrastructure. We are particularly interested in candidates with concreting and formwork experience , with previous experience constructing kerbs, ramps and footpaths highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities \n
\n - Assist with installation of traffic signal poles, pits, conduits, cables and associated infrastructure
\n - Undertake excavation, trenching, backfilling, concreting and reinstatement works
\n - Complete formwork and concrete works as required
\n - Assist with cable hauling, pit installation and commissioning activities
\n - Operate hand tools, power tools and small plant equipment
\n - Load, unload and transport materials, tools and equipment
\n - Assist maintenance crews with fault repairs, inspections and emergency response activities
\n - Maintain a safe and tidy work environment
\n - Follow WHS requirements, procedures and relevant safety standards
\n - Support supervisors and tradespeople to meet project deadlines and quality requirements
\n
About You To be successful, you will ideally have: \n
\n - Previous civil construction, road construction or traffic infrastructure experience
\n - Concreting and formwork experience
\n - Experience constructing kerbs, ramps and footpaths highly desirable
\n - Experience using hand and power tools
\n - Ability to undertake physically demanding outdoor work
\n - Strong understanding of WHS requirements
\n - Ability to work effectively within a team
\n - Willingness and availability to work predominantly night shift
\n
Desirable Tickets & Qualifications \n
\n - Construction Induction Card (White Card)
\n - MR or HR Driver's Licence
\n - Traffic Control or Traffic Management qualifications
\n - Plant tickets such as excavator, skid steer or EWP
\n - First Aid Certificate
\n - Experience working around live traffic environments
\n
Hours & Travel \n
The role will predominantly operate Sunday to Thursday, 6:00pm–2:30am, with day shift hours of 6:30am–3:30pm where required. The roster operates on a 9-day fortnight.
\n
Living away from home may occasionally be required, generally no longer than one week at a time, approximately every 6 weeks to 2 months.
\n
Required PPE: Safety boots, reflective pants and long-sleeve hi-vis reflective shirt.
\n
If you have strong civil construction and concreting experience and are comfortable working night shift, for an ASAP start.
