The role \n
Build your career in event management while gaining hands‑on experience delivering exciting events and activations across our City!

As a Trainee Event Management, you’ll combine structured learning and development with practical, on‑the‑job experience as part of Council’s City Events & Activations Team. Working alongside experienced Event Producers and internal Council teams, you’ll gain exposure to the complete event management lifecycle, including event planning, stakeholder engagement, procurement, supplier coordination, risk management, event logistics, communications, event‑day operations and post‑event evaluation.

This is a two‑year Temporary Full‑Time traineeship commencing in February 2027, where you will develop practical workplace skills and build a strong foundation for your career in customer service, while completing a TAFE course alongside your work with Council.

The salary range for this opportunity commences at $38,272 (T3 at 17 years of age) or $44,746 (T4 at 18+ years or completed HSC) + 12% super.
