Trainer & Assessor - Graduate Diploma of Strategic Leadership

Wall Street College is seeking an experienced Trainer and Assessor to deliver and assess BSB80320 Graduate Diploma of Strategic Leadership in Melbourne. The role involves delivering high-quality training, conducting assessments, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate assessment records in a face-to-face and/or blended delivery format.

Key responsibilities

Deliver engaging and high-quality training for BSB80320 Graduate Diploma of Strategic Leadership

Conduct assessment in accordance with the principles of assessment and rules of evidence

Provide timely and constructive feedback to students

Review and mark assessments and maintain accurate assessment records

Support students to develop high-level strategic, analytical, leadership and management capabilities

Participate in assessment validation and moderation activities

Contribute to the review and continuous improvement of training and assessment resources

Maintain current industry knowledge, vocational competency and VET professional development

Comply with College policies, procedures and applicable regulatory requirements

About you

TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or another training and assessment credential permitted under the current VET Credential Policy

Substantial professional experience at a senior level in leadership, management, strategic planning, business operations, organisational transformation, project/program management, finance, governance or a related field

Vocational competency and current industry skills and knowledge relevant to the units being delivered and assessed

Qualifications and/or professional experience that can be clearly mapped to the relevant BSB80320 units of competency

Demonstrated experience operating at a significant level of leadership and management responsibility and/or complexity within an organisation

Strong knowledge of strategic leadership, organisational planning and high-level business decision-making

Ability to deliver and assess at Graduate Diploma level

Sound understanding of competency-based training and assessment in the Australian VET sector

Strong communication, facilitation, presentation and student engagement skills

Ability to maintain accurate and compliant training and assessment documentation

Highly Desirable

Preference will be given to applicants who can demonstrate competency and recent professional experience relevant to several of the following areas:

BSBLDR811 - Lead strategic transformation

BSBSTR802 - Lead strategic planning processes for an organisation

Financial strategy

Applied research

Ethical leadership

Project and program management

Business continuity

Organisational digital strategy

The units allocated to the successful applicant will depend on the College's delivery requirements and the applicant's demonstrated vocational competency and industry experience.

Trainer Matrix and Mapping Requirements

Shortlisted candidates will be required to provide evidence to support a Trainer and Assessor Matrix, including:

Relevant qualifications and Statements of Attainment.

Current TAE qualification or other accepted training and assessment credential.

Detailed CV outlining relevant employment and senior industry experience.

Evidence of current industry skills and knowledge.

Sufficient evidence demonstrating how their qualifications, skills and professional experience map to the relevant BSB80320 units of competency.

Applicants should be prepared to discuss their experience against the relevant elements, performance criteria, performance evidence and knowledge evidence of the units they may be allocated to deliver and assess.
