About the role

\n

Following the promotion of several Senior Project Managers into new roles as part of our recent recruitment activity, exciting permanent opportunities have become available within our Project Management team. We are seeking experienced Senior Project Managers to join our metropolitan delivery portfolios. You’ll work with a dedicated multi-discipline team of engineers to create new engineering assets to ensure our operational objectives are on time, budget, and within technical and OSH, environmental and quality standards. These roles will be based in our Leederville office.

What the role will involve

\n

\n
• Leading the delivery of complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects across metropolitan portfolios
\n
• Managing projects through the full lifecycle, from planning and procurement through to construction, commissioning, and handover
\n
• Taking accountability for project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and overall delivery performance
\n
• Coordinating and leading multidisciplinary project teams, consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders
\n
• Establishing and managing major service, equipment, and construction contracts to achieve project outcomes
\n
• Monitoring and controlling project costs, schedules, resources, and performance to ensure successful delivery
\n
• Identifying, assessing, and managing project risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle
\n
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, regulators, local government authorities, utilities, consultants, and contractors
\n
• Securing statutory, regulatory, and external approvals required for project delivery
\n
• Preparing project reporting, recommendations, and updates to senior leaders and governance forums
\n
• Ensuring projects meet health, safety, environmental, quality, and compliance requirements
\n
• Driving innovation, continuous improvement, and lessons learned to enhance future project delivery outcome.

• Coaching and mentoring project team members to support capability development and high performance
\n

These roles span both early project development and delivery phases across a diverse program of works. As such, we welcome applications from professionals with either an engineering or construction background who are looking to contribute across the full project lifecycle.

About you

\n

To be successful in this role, you will hold qualifications in engineering, project management, or a related discipline, coupled with significant experience in project management and the delivery of complex infrastructure projects. You’ll have demonstrated expertise in project management principles and practices, including planning and scheduling, cost and risk management, contract management, and an understanding of the statutory, regulatory, and industry requirements associated with infrastructure delivery. Your strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills will enable you to build effective relationships and influence outcomes, while your commitment to continuous improvement will support the successful delivery of projects and contribute to team performance.
