What you will do

\n

As Principal Clinical Oversight Officer – Primary Health, you will oversee healthcare services across Victorian correctional systems.

\n

You will provide clinical advice, lead reviews and improve how health services are delivered.

\n

You will:

\n

\n
• apply expert clinical skills through audits, reviews and investigations to oversee healthcare services
\n
• provide clinical advice that improves health service design, delivery and outcomes
\n
• develop sound systems, policies and procedures that support accountability, innovation and problem solving
\n
• work with people in custody and service providers to identify issues and improve healthcare
\n
• lead teams, provide strategic advice and support better services through reports, briefings and training.
\n

About you

\n

You need a tertiary qualification in a health or related field. Current AHPRA registration is desirable.

\n

You bring strong health leadership and experience in complex healthcare settings. You can assess services, solve problems and guide improvement.

\n

You should also have:

\n

\n
• strong clinical expertise and experience delivering healthcare in sensitive and complex environments
\n
• health service monitoring experience, including reviewing service quality and identifying risks
\n
• leadership experience across health, primary health, mental health and/or alcohol and other drug systems
\n
• strong judgement and communication skills, with the ability to lead people and explain complex issues clearly.
\n
