Unaccredited Oncology Registrar Warrnambool, Victoria | 12-Month Fixed Term | 86 Hours Per Fortnight

Sante Recruitment is seeking a motivated and dedicated Unaccredited Oncology Registrar to join the Medical Oncology service at South West Healthcare (SWH) in Warrnambool.

This is a 12-month fixed-term position, working 86 hours per fortnight, providing an excellent opportunity for a junior doctor looking to consolidate their oncology experience, strengthen their CV and prepare for future formal advanced training.

Based at the Warrnambool Campus, you will join a supportive multidisciplinary cancer care team and work closely with experienced Consultant Medical Oncologists.

The Opportunity

Working alongside Consultant Medical Oncologists, the successful candidate will gain valuable exposure to the clinical management of patients across the oncology service.

The role will provide experience across both inpatient and day oncology settings, including:

• Day-to-day clinical management of oncology inpatients
• Assessment and review of patients within the Day Oncology Unit
• Management of patients admitted to acute medical wards
• Participation in Consultant-led ward rounds
• Attendance and participation in multidisciplinary team meetings
• Clinical assessment and formulation of management plans
• Liaison with nursing, allied health and other medical teams
• Communication with patients and their families
• Participation in clinical audits and quality improvement activities
• Supervision and support of junior medical staff where required

What You Bring The Successful Applicant Will Have

• Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia
