Sales Executive - The Ville Precinct

As a Sales Executive in our Event Sales team, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and securing event bookings across the precinct. You’ll work closely with the Sales Manager to drive business growth by identifying, engaging, and securing new clients across a range of sectors as well as securing repeat business where available.

Key Accountabilities for this position include:

• Identify and generate new business leads in target markets
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Create proposals tailored to client needs and business goals
• Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets
• Maintain accurate sales reports and customer management records
• Attend networking events, trade shows, and conferences to build industry connections
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless event delivery

About the role

About you

• Experience required in a similar sales role - preferably in events
• Demonstrated experience in event sales, coordination, or event administration
• Possess solid knowledge of the events industry (highly desirable)
• Highly motivated and target driven with a record of meeting or exceeding budgets
• Enjoy building long-term relationships and solving client problems with creative solutions
• Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Consistent attention to detail
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems and processes, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain flexibility in a dynamic work environment with varying weekly schedules
• Experience with a property management system, in particular Opera Cloud is highly desirable
