ICT Security Specialist

The Communication Security (COMSEC) Account Manager is responsible on behalf of the Appointing Authority for the operation and management of the COMSEC account; for ensuring the safeguarding, accounting, handling and disposition of accountable COMSEC material; and associated COMSEC account files, records and documentation held on the COMSEC account ensuring they are only accessed by suitable and appropriately trained, cleared and briefed persons.

You will lead a small team to support the planning, scheduling and delivery of COMSEC training, advice and equipment to a range of military personnel. You will be required to engage and communicate with stakeholders to identify, respond and provide advice on COMSEC to achieve unit and Defence outcomes.

The Defence Force School of Signals (DFSS) located in Macleod VIC trains and develops Communications and Information Systems, Electronic Warfare, Signals Intelligence and Cyberspace Professionals in order to enable the Command Support and Information Warfare functions of the Australian Defence Force. You will work along-side military, APS and contracted personnel to deliver support to a variety of Defence personnel.

Security Clearance

Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at “Negative Vetting Level 2”.
