Maptek technology provides world leading long range laser scanning solutions for survey applications in the mining and civil engineering industries. This technology captures the world in 3D and helps users to extract maximum value from accurate digital data. Maptek hardware is highly regarded for its ease of use and ability to deliver the results customers need. Maptek also provides professional technical support and consulting services. We are looking for an experiencedSenior Systems Administrator to join our Adelaide team. This is a hands-on technical role focused on the reliable operation and maintenance of our Windows Server and Desktop environments, enterprise services, software licensing and associated service providers. You will work across servicing, patching, technical support, service continuity and vendor management, while helping improve the reliability and supportability of the systems used across Maptek.

Core responsibilities \n

    \n
  • Administer and support Windows Server and Desktop environments and enterprise services;
    • \n
  • Coordinate patching, maintenance and service lifecycle activities;
    • \n
  • Monitor service availability and resolve complex systems issues;
    • \n
  • Manage operational relationships with vendors and service providers;
    • \n
  • Coordinate software licensing, renewals and cost optimisation;
    • \n
  • Support service continuity, recovery and assigned security controls; and
    • \n
  • Provide technical mentoring and guidance to other employees.
    • \n

Knowledge, skills and abilities \n

    \n
  • Strong experience administering and troubleshooting Windows Server and Desktop environments;
    • \n
  • Experience with systems maintenance, patching and enterprise services;
    • \n
  • Experience managing technology vendors and service-level issues;
    • \n
  • Experience with software licensing, renewals and cost management;
    • \n
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and systems-thinking skills;
    • \n
  • Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders; and
    • \n
  • Relevant systems administration, Microsoft, networking or service-management qualifications will be highly regarded.
    • \n
