About the role

Join our Community Relations team and play a key role indelivering venue hire options to external customers while alsosupporting the school's internal staff in managing bookings andlogistics for their events outside of the normal schoolday.

This full-time, continuing role is responsible for coordinatingvenue hire and events across our beautiful inner-city campus. Fromthe first enquiry through to event delivery, you will work closelywith clients, suppliers and school stakeholders to create seamlessexperiences that strengthen the School's reputation and communityconnections.

Whether coordinating weddings, community events, venue hirebookings or supporting school functions, no two days will be thesame. This role is ideal for a highly organised andservice-oriented professional who enjoys building relationships,solving problems and delivering memorable experiences. Flexibilityto support selected evening and weekend events during peak periodswill be an important part of the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage venue hire enquiries and bookings from initialenquiry through to event completion.
• Coordinate event logistics including venue setup, catering,security, audio-visual requirements, contracts and clientcommunications.
• Conduct venue tours and build strong relationships withclients, suppliers and community stakeholders.
• Oversee the preparation of event documentation includegenrun sheets, floor plans, contracts and riskassessments.
• Support the successful delivery of events and venueoperations across the School campus.
• Liaise with School Facilities and Operations staff toensure venue bookings are carefully managed.

Role Requirements

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

• Outstanding organisational skills with strong attention todetail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skillswith a strong customer service focus.
• Initiative, problem-solving ability and confidence workingindependently while collaborating with a broad range ofstakeholders.
• Experience coordinating events preferable but notessential.
• Confidence using Microsoft 365 applications and digitalsystems.
• Current Queensland Working with Children Clearance (orability to obtain one).
• Approval to work in Australia.
• A commitment to the values and ethos of Catholic educationin the Mercy tradition.
