We’re Expanding – Multiple Sports Club Receptionist Roles Available

Elanora Squash & Fitness and The Racquet Club are expanding, creating opportunities for friendly, organised and proactive people to join our growing Northern Beaches team.

We’re looking for reliable people who enjoy working with others, taking initiative and keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly.

We are seeking multiple candidates to help cover our seven-day operating schedule, offering casual, flexible part-time opportunities across the week.

About The Venue

Elanora Squash & Fitness is an established, community-focused multi-sport facility on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, incorporating squash, gym, bar, dining, events and social activities.

The venue has an established customer base, with approximately 200 gym members, 200 squash members and around 3,500 facility entries per month.

Our seven-day operation brings together sport, fitness, hospitality, entertainment and community activities, providing a varied environment where no two days need to be the same.

About The Role

We’re looking for a friendly, organised, proactive and reliable Sports Club Receptionist to support our members, visitors and team while helping keep the club’s day-to-day operations running smoothly.

You’ll be an important point of contact for members and guests, helping manage reception, bookings, enquiries and administrative tasks.

This is a diverse role suited to someone who enjoys variety, can work independently and takes pride in providing a welcoming and well-organised customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Reception & Customer Service

• Greeting members and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
• Managing bookings and memberships
• Answering phones and emails
• Processing payments and handling customer enquiries
• Providing general information and assistance to members and guests

Administration & Club Operations

• Managing inboxes and club systems
• Supporting daily operations and team communication
• Assisting with rostering and operational coordination
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Assisting with supplier orders and operational requirements
• Supporting email marketing and club promotions

Duties will include, but are not limited to, the responsibilities outlined above.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• Ability to take initiative and confidently manage day-to-day tasks with minimal supervision
• Previous administration, reception or customer service experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Confidence using computers, email and online systems
• A friendly, reliable and proactive approach

Desirable

• Experience with membership-based businesses, sports clubs or hospitality venues
• Experience using booking, membership or CRM software systems
• Experience with social media, marketing or email campaigns
• Experience with rostering, HR administration or bookkeeping systems
• Ideally located on Sydney’s Northern Beaches or surrounding areas

This is not a Sydney CBD position.

The location is approximately 45 minutes by car from Sydney CBD or around 1 hour 20 minutes by public transport, depending on traffic and connections.

We have previously received applications from people who discovered during the process that the commute was too far for them.

Please apply only if you live within a practical commuting distance of Elanora Heights and can reliably travel to the venue.

The location is particularly convenient for people living in Elanora Heights, Narrabeen, Warriewood, Mona Vale, Ingleside, Terrey Hills, Cromer, Dee Why and the broader Northern Beaches/Pittwater area.

Employment conditions and remuneration will be in accordance with the applicable Award and relevant experience.
