Join HESTA’s newly created Critical Operations & Business Resilience team and play a pivotal role in strengthening the resilience of one of Australia’s leading super funds. As Operational Resilience Manager, you’ll lead the development and maturity of HESTA’s enterprise operational resilience capability across a complex operating environment, including critical operations and material third-party providers. Reporting to the General Manager, Critical Operations & Business Resilience, you’ll partner across Operations, Risk, Member Services and external providers to ensure HESTA is prepared to respond, recover and continue delivering for our members.

What You’ll Do

• Lead HESTA’s enterprise Operational Resilience and Business Continuity framework, aligned to regulatory requirements including CPS 230 and interconnection with CPS220 and CPS190.
• Develop and maintain business continuity plans, critical operations registers, criticality assessments and crisis management arrangements.
• Partnering with Risk, business teams and third parties to strengthen resilience capability across the organisation, spanning people, processes, technology, supply chain and member services.
• Lead resilience scenario analysis, stress testing and the annual Business Continuity Testing program.
• Design and facilitate crisis management exercises, testing, training and awareness.
• Provide trusted advice, meaningful insights and reporting to leadership, executives, Board and Risk Committees.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team, creating clarity, capability and a strong culture of collaboration.

What You’ll Bring

You’re an experienced Operational Resilience, Business Continuity or Risk professional who can combine strategic thinking with practical execution. You’ll bring:

• Significant experience in Operational Resilience, Business Continuity and/or Crisis Management, ideally within financial services or superannuation.
• Strong understanding of operational risk frameworks, regulatory requirements and resilience practices, specifically CPS 230 and CPS220.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement, facilitation and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively.
• The ability to translate complex risk and resilience matters into clear, concise insights for senior leaders.
• Strong commercial judgement and the ability to operate effectively in a complex, regulated environment.
• Experience leveraging technology, automation or AI to improve resilience and business processes.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and resilience-related certifications will be highly regarded.
