At Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), we are committed to Trusted Care, Better Health for Everyone, and we are looking for an experienced Clinical Lead to guide our Child Protection Counselling Service team.

CPCS is a key therapeutic service working in the family preservation, restoration area, and placement stability space. We provide trauma informed, recovery-oriented interventions to children and families on the Central Coast where children have experienced violence, abuse and neglect. Services are delivered in close collaboration with Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ), with the focus of increasing safety, supporting children to recover from trauma, and for parents and carers to strengthen their parenting capacity and attachment, so children can safely remain with or be restored to their family.

About The Opportunity

As the Clinical Lead - CPCS, you will provide specialist clinical leadership, supervision, and support to a team delivering counselling and therapeutic interventions for children, young people, and families impacted by abuse, neglect, and domestic and family violence.

In This Role You Will

• Lead and support a specialist counselling team to deliver evidence based, trauma informed care.
• Provide clinical supervision, consultation, and guidance for complex child protection cases.
• Maintain a reduced clinical caseload while balancing leadership and service development responsibilities.
• Strengthen partnerships across health and external agencies to support integrated models of care.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and promote best practice aligned with PARVAN frameworks and standards.

About You

• Extensive experience working with children, young people, and families affected by abuse, neglect, trauma, and family violence.
• Demonstrated clinical leadership and supervision experience within a multidisciplinary environment.
• Advanced clinical reasoning skills and the ability to manage complex and sensitive casework.
• Strong understanding of trauma informed practice, child protection systems, and evidence based interventions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a commitment to culturally safe, person-centred care.
