Recruitment Specialist

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Location: Banyo, QLD

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Recruitment Specialist to join our Brisbane team based in Banyo.

You’ll be joining a small, experienced East Coast recruitment team that works closely with a broader national recruitment division. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who is organised, adaptable and confident managing recruitment in a fast‑paced environment.

You will work closely with our operations team to understand workforce requirements, manage recruitment activity and ensure candidates are successfully recruited, onboarded and mobilised to meet project requirements.

The role will involve high‑volume recruitment across a range of industries and positions, with a strong focus on maintaining quality talent pools and providing a consistent experience for both candidates and clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Work closely with the operations team to understand workforce requirements and recruitment priorities, ensuring positions are progressed in line with project start dates.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including advertising, screening, interviewing, shortlisting and processing applications.
  • Coordinate bulk recruitment campaigns for shutdown crews, project workforces, ongoing casual requirements and internal positions.
  • Recruit across a range of industries and positions, including both blue- and white-collar roles.
  • Manage candidate onboarding and mobilisation, ensuring all stages of the recruitment process are completed accurately and on time.
  • Develop and maintain strong talent pools for current and upcoming opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment records and stay across the day-to-day requirements of a high-volume recruitment environment.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with candidates, clients and internal stakeholders throughout the recruitment process.
  • Support the promotion of Category 5 service offerings to existing and prospective clients.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring recruitment requirements are understood and delivered within agreed timeframes.
  • Represent Category 5 professionally and with integrity in all candidate and client interactions

Skills & experience

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a genuine focus on people.
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment.
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently while contributing to the wider team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills and confidence working across recruitment systems and platforms.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in recruitment, labour hire or a similar environment.
