You offer compassion, stability and practical support to people who may be facing some of the toughest moments of their lives. Your presence can be the difference between someone feeling alone and someone feeling seen.About the roleThis position is based at The Beacon, a 24/7 Homelessness Support Service. The role has a strong front of house focus and involves being the first point of contact for residents, visitors and callers. It includes answering phones, gathering basic intake information, completing data entry and communicating clearly with other staff. The work also involves providing information about accommodation options to members of the public, greeting residents, managing mail collection and supporting the smooth running of afterhours operations. The environment is safe, inclusive and welcoming, and every interaction contributes to someone feeling supported and respected.This full-time permanent role sits within the Homelessness Support Service at The Beacon and reports to the Front of House Team Leader. Pay is in accordance with SCHADS Level 3.
