The Facilities Management Directorate is responsible for the planning, maintenance and management of CQU's facilities, supporting students, staff and visitors across our Rockhampton campuses. Join a skilled and supportive team committed to maintaining safe, functional and high-quality facilities.

Your New Role \n
\n

As a Plumber, you will:

\n
\n

\n
\n
• Undertake plumbing maintenance, repair and installation works.
\n
\n
• Respond to plumbing faults and emergencies promptly.
\n
\n
• Diagnose issues and identify appropriate repair or replacement solutions.
\n
\n
• Carry out new plumbing installations and infrastructure upgrades.
\n
\n
• Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, standards and legislative requirements.
\n
\n
• Adhere to Workplace Health and Safety requirements when undertaking maintenance activities.
\n
\n
• Work collaboratively with maintenance teams, contractors and stakeholders.
\n
\n

Position Requirements \n
\n

\n
\n
• A plumbing trade certificate with relevant post-certificate work experience.
\n
\n
• Current Plumbers and Drainers Licence.
\n
\n
• Demonstrated knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety requirements and the ability to work in compliance with relevant legislation and procedures.
\n
\n
• Current Gas Fitter Licence (desirable).
\n
\n
• Current EWP and Forklift Licences (desirable).
\n
\n
