We're seeking a professional, well-organised Medical Receptionist to be the welcoming first point of contact for our patients across both sites. This is a permanent part-time position — 0.4 FTE, working Tuesdays and Fridays (approximately 15 hours per week), with an immediate start available.
Key responsibilities \n
- \n
- Greet patients and visitors and provide a warm, professional first impression \n
- Answer and manage incoming calls, emails and enquiries \n
- Book, confirm, reschedule and manage appointments \n
- Prepare, open and close consulting rooms \n
- Accurate data entry and maintenance of patient records \n
- Manage incoming referrals and clinical correspondence \n
- Scan, file and distribute documents; type and format letters as required \n
- Process billing, receipting and payments \n
- Prepare Medicare, DVA and private health fund claims \n
- Liaise with hospitals, specialists, GPs and allied health providers \n
- Maintain stock and order office and clinical supplies \n
- Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times \n

- Excellent verbal and written communication \n
- Professional, friendly presentation and manner \n
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail \n
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure \n
- Reliability, punctuality and discretion \n
- Right to work in Australia \n
- Previous medical reception or customer service experience (desirable) \n
- Familiarity with practice management software (Gentu) and Medicare/DVA billing (desirable) \n
- Understanding of medical terminology (desirable) \n
