As we continue to grow and evolve, we are seeking an experienced HR Manager to work closely with our General Manager and leadership team to build workforce capability, strengthen our culture, support our leaders and ensure best-practice people management across the business.

About the role

Reporting directly to the General Manager, this is a true generalist HR leadership role responsible for overseeing the full employee lifecycle and providing practical, commercially focused advice and support across all areas of human resources.

Working closely with managers and supervisors, you will lead recruitment and onboarding activities, provide guidance on employee and industrial relations matters, support performance management processes, oversee workplace investigations and compliance obligations, coordinate training and development initiatives, and contribute to workforce planning and organisational capability.

You will also play an important role in supporting psychosocial risk management, workplace wellbeing initiatives, WorkCover and return-to-work processes, while ensuring employment practices remain compliant with legislative and industrial requirements.

This position would suit a hands-on HR professional who enjoys partnering with leaders, solving complex people challenges and contributing strategically while remaining actively involved in day-to-day operations. This is an exciting role for an experienced HR Practitioner: as a new internal role you will get to help design how the role functions and fits into the wider organisation.

This role is required as an onsite role 5 days per week, however a part time role with reduced hours each day can be accommodated – for example, working school hours.

Key responsibilities

• Lead recruitment and onboarding activities

• Provide guidance on employee and industrial relations matters

About you

• Relevant qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline

• Minimum 5 years experience in a senior generalist HR position

• Strong knowledge of Australian employment law, the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, Modern Awards and industrial relations principles

• Experience managing employee relations matters including performance management, investigations, grievances and disciplinary processes

• Demonstrated ability to coach, influence and support managers in managing people effectively

• Experience with recruitment, workforce planning, training and development, and HR policy development

• Strong communication, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills

• High levels of professionalism, discretion and sound judgement

• Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
