We’re looking for an Assistant Manager – Engineering to help keep every part of our hotel running beautifully, safely and seamlessly. From guest rooms and public spaces to plant, equipment and essential services, you’ll lead with a hands‑on approach and a sharp eye for detail.
\n
As Assistant Manager – Engineering, you will:
\n
Support the day‑to‑day operation of the Engineering department
\n
Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance across the hotel
\n
Lead, coach and support our engineering colleagues
\n
Work closely with hotel departments to respond to maintenance needs
\n
Help manage contractors, compliance checks and safety requirements
\n
Maintain accurate records, logs and preventative maintenance schedules
\n
Contribute to energy efficiency, sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives
\n
Support the Chief Engineer with projects and departmental priorities
\n
You’ll bring:
\n
Previous experience in hotel engineering, facilities or a similar environment
\n
Experience supervising or leading a team
\n
Strong knowledge of building services, maintenance and workplace safety
\n
Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
\n
A calm, organised and practical approach
\n
Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
\n
Relevant trade qualifications are highly regarded
\n
You must already have current and ongoing working rights for Australia
\n
