U-Store-It is a proudly South Australian, family-owned business that has been helping Adelaide families and businesses with their storage needs for more than 45 years.

Our success has been built on friendly service, trusted advice and genuinely caring about our customers. We are now looking for an energetic and dependable Storage Consultant + Assistant Manager to join our team.

\n

This positions will be based across our facilities in the Adelaide Hills and Eastern suburbs of Adelaide, with some flexibility to assist at other U-Store-It locations when required.

\n

We are open to discussing flexible employment arrangements, from three days per week through to full-time employment, depending on the experience and availability of the successful applicant.

\n

About the role

\n

No two days in self-storage are quite the same. You will help customers find the right storage solution while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation and presentation of our facilities.

\n

Your responsibilities will include:

\n

\n
• Welcoming customers and providing friendly, helpful service
\n
• Understanding customers' needs and recommending suitable storage solutions
\n
• Responding to telephone, online and in-person enquiries
\n
• Following up sales enquiries and helping customers through the move‐in process
\n
• Building positive relationships with customers and local businesses
\n
• Selling packaging materials and other storage‐related products
\n
• Processing payments, invoices and customer account updates
\n
• Assisting with debtor management and account follow‐up
\n
• Completing general administration and maintaining accurate records
\n
• Supporting the Site Manager with daily operations
\n
• Helping maintain clean, safe and well‐presented facilities
\n
• Taking responsibility for the facility when working independently
\n

About you

\n

You are friendly, organised and confident speaking with people from all walks of life. You enjoy finding solutions, following through on commitments and making customers feel welcome.

\n

You will also be comfortable balancing customer service and sales with administration and practical site duties.

\n

Ideally, you will have:

\n

\n
• Previous customer service or sales experience
\n
• A positive, professional and approachable manner
\n
• Strong communication and relationship‐building skills
\n
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organised
\n
• The initiative to work independently and contribute to a small team
\n
• An interest in developing your leadership and operational skills
\n
• A current driver's licence and reliable transport
\n
• The flexibility to work across our Adelaide Hills and eastern suburbs facilities
\n
• Availability to work alternate Saturdays
\n

\n

Experience in self‐storage, property, retail or facilities management would be helpful, but it is not essential. We are more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, reliability and commitment to looking after customers.
