About the role

\n

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a central role in how the organisation evaluates adopts and manages software. As Software Assurance Coordinator you will work closely with teams acrossTechnology, Cyber, Legal, Procurement, and the wider business to support well-governed, risk-aware and sustainable adoption of new tools and platforms.

\n

You will bring structure clarity and confidence to software decision making by coordinating lifecycle activities supporting assurance reviews and maintaining high quality asset and licence data. A key part of the role is engaging with stakeholders across the business and guiding them through the software adoption process, helping them understanding requirements and ensuring they are supported, while governance processes obligations are met.

\n

You will play an important role incoordinating cross-functional reviews, ensuring risks are clearly identified, documented, and managed, and that outcomes and follow-up actions are tracked through to completion. Your ability to stay organised and prioritise across multiple concurrent requests will be critical in maintaining momentum while upholding governance standards.

\n

You will also contribute to improving processes and ways of working, helping to build a more consistent, transparent, and efficient approach to software governance. You will help shape how software is used across the organisation by improving visibility enabling smarter investment choices and supporting safe responsible adoption of technology that delivers real business value.

Key accountabilities

• Coordinate the end-to-end software lifecycle and help ensure requests progress smoothly through the Software Assurance Framework from registration and experimentation through assessment approval adoption and ongoing management.
\n
• Support cross functional assurance reviews by assisting with scheduling preparing documentation facilitating discussions where appropriate and tracking outcomes risks and agreed follow up actions.
\n
• Maintain accurate and up to date software asset licence and entitlement records including allocations usage monitoring renewals and identification of optimisation opportunities to support compliance and cost effectiveness.
\n
• Monitor alignment with software governance requirements by identifying potential shadow technology supporting implementation of technical or policy controls and contributing to compliance and usage reporting.
\n
• Provide clear guidance and practical support to staff and business, actively guiding them through software onboarding and governance requirements, and helping them understand risks, obligations, and available pathways. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives including catalogue updates rationalisation activities and enhancements to workflows forms and review processes as the operating model evolves.

• Apply strong attention to detail when managing licence data documentation compliance evidence and lifecycle tracking.
\n
• Work collaboratively within a structured governance environment, contributing to constructive, risk-informed discussions and confidently engaging stakeholders to support balanced decision-making.

About you

\n

\n
• Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent practical skills knowledge and experience.
\n
• Experience supporting software lifecycle asset or licence management activities including maintaining accurate records of licences entitlements allocations usage and renewals and contributing to optimisation or remediation initiatives.
\n
• Experience contributing to structured governance or assurance processes such as coordinating risk-based reviews preparing documentation tracking actions and collaborating with cybersecurity procurement legal architecture and Product and Technology teams.
\n
• Strong organisational analytical and administrative capability with the ability to manage multiple concurrent software requests and maintain high quality data across catalogues usage reporting compliance evidence and lifecycle tracking.
\n
• Well developed interpersonal and communication skills that enable effective collaboration across diverse stakeholder groups and delivery of clear guidance education and awareness activities related to software governance.
\n
• Understanding of software governance concepts including risk considerations such as data sensitivity scale of users and integration complexity compliance expectations shadow technology risks and the role of technical and policy controls.
\n
• Experience using or supporting IT service management asset or software management platforms and an understanding of the importance of maintaining a reliable single source of truth for software inventory usage compliance and spend
