Position Descriptor

Renmark Primary School is a Reception to Year 6 school committed to ensuring every student can engage, learn and succeed. We have high expectations for all learners, with a strong focus on high-quality, evidence-informed teaching and the purposeful use of data to improve student outcomes. Our Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) framework supports safe, predictable and engaging learning environments, underpinned by our values of Kindness, Respect, Responsibility and Learning.

We are seeking a highly effective classroom teacher who knows their learners, creates the conditions for success and works collaboratively to strengthen teaching and learning across our school.

Applicants are asked to address the following three questions, providing specific examples, evidence of practice and demonstrated impact on student learning and/or engagement.

1. Renmark Primary School has high expectations for learning and behaviour, supported by our Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) framework. Describe how you create a positive and productive learning environment that enables all students to engage, learn and succeed. Provide an example and evidence of the impact on your learners.
2. Provide an example that demonstrates how you have used high-quality, evidence-informed teaching practices to purposefully respond to the needs of your learners. How did assessment and data inform your instructional decisions, and what impact did this have on student learning?
3. At Renmark Primary School, we value people who contribute positively to our team and wider school community. Provide an example of how you have built strong relationships and worked alongside colleagues and families to support students to thrive. What did you contribute, and what impact did this have?
