The Law Institute of Victoria (LIV) is the state's peak body for lawyers. Representing more than 22,000 members the LIV's purpose is to foster the rule of law and to promote improvements and developments in the law as it affects the public of Victoria. The LIV is a non-profit organisation dedicated to its members and the development, maintenance and the sustenance of the law for the benefit of the community.
Join the LIV Wellbeing Team and play a key role in implementing an evidence‑based Wellbeing Strategy that supports prevention, early intervention and sustained improvement across the legal profession. This position is responsible for designing, delivering and evaluating initiatives that promote mental health, mitigate psychosocial risks and increase the capability of individuals, organisations and the broader profession.
As a registered psychologist, you will apply your expertise to workplace mental health, with a focus on practical, proactive approaches. You will support the implementation of the LIV Wellbeing Operational Plan by developing workshops, seminars and resources; providing specialist advice on psychosocial hazards; and partnering with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen psychologically healthy work environments.
You will focus on contemporary risks facing the legal profession, such as vicarious trauma, burnout, moral injury and occupational stress. Your work will help develop trauma‑informed practices, support prevention and early identification, and assist organisations to adopt evidence‑informed responses.
