Minimum qualifications: \n

\n
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
\n
• 6 years of experience as a technical sales engineer in a cloud computing environment, or in a customer-facing role.
\n
• Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
\n

Preferred qualifications: \n

\n
• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
\n
• Experience with developing scalable architectures using microservice frameworks, PaaS, and container orchestration systems (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenShift), or other applicable platforms.
\n
• Experience with cloud-native software development methodologies and tools to support application development/deployment stages including CI/CD (e.g., Jenkins, Spinnaker, Concourse).
\n
• Experience in advanced areas of networking, including Linux, software-defined networking, network virtualization, open protocols, application acceleration and load balancing, DNS, virtual private networks and their application to PaaS and IaaS technologies.
\n
• Expertise in serverless architectures and managed services (e.g., Google Cloud Run, Cloud Functions).

As a Customer Engineer, you will partner with technical Sales teams as an enterprise hybrid cloud subject matter expert to differentiate Google Cloud to the customers. You will help prospective and existing customers and partners understand the power of Google Cloud, develop creative cloud solutions and architectures to solve their business challenges, engage in proofs of concepts, and troubleshoot any technical questions and roadblocks. You will use your expertise and presentation skills to engage with customers to understand their business and technical requirements, and persuasively present practical and useful solutions on Google Cloud. Responsibilities \n

• Make recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution, providing best practice advice to customers to optimize Google Cloud Platform effectiveness.
\n
• Guide customers through assessments of their existing legacy application environments, provide recommendations on a prioritization roadmap for application modernization, and identify candidates applications for migration to hybrid-cloud computing models.
\n
• Define integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution. Provide best practice advice to optimize Google Cloud Platform effectiveness, balancing performance, reliability, and cost constraints.
\n
• Partner with cross-functional Sales and Product teams to identify, qualify, and size new business opportunities. Influence sales strategy development and deploy solutions that protect and expand existing account portfolios.
