Early Childhood Teacher

Little Genesis Early Learning Centre is an initiative of Genesis Christian College, Bray Park and is an early learning centre for children aged from 6 weeks through to Kindergarten. We strive to nurture a love of Christ, a love of learning and a love of life. Little Genesis is a small, 75-place, service that values a more personal and nurturing approach to childcare.

We are seeking to employ a Full-Time, Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) to join our team of passionate staff in our Early Learning Centre, conveniently located on the grounds of Genesis Christian College at Bray Park. We are looking for a team member to lead our Kindergarten room, catering for 22 children daily. The successful applicant will need to be supportive of the philosophy and aims of a Christian Independent School and Christian ethos and be willing to embed these values into the curriculum.

To be successful you will have:

• Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood) or ACECQA approved equivalent
• HLTAID012 – First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, Asthma Management certificates
• QCT registration or eligibility
• Experience working within an Early Childhood environment
• An understanding of an inquiry-based program and principles and the Early Years Learning Framework.
• Ability to confidently articulate information to families so that all families feel a connection to the service and build collaborative partnerships within the educational program
• A high degree of enthusiasm and energy to work in outdoor and physical environments
• Be supportive of, and sympathetic to the philosophy and aims of a Christian Independent School and Christian Ethos

In addition, we are seeking a team member with a high degree of passion, enthusiasm and energy and the ability to build strong professional relationships with children, families and colleagues. You will need to be a committed Educator with proven success in the implementation of high-quality programming.
