About the Opportunity \n

Based at our Cambridge - Cranston Branch on Mumirimina Country , you’ll join a supportive team and receive structured training designed to help you become a safe and professional driver.

\n

You’ll work alongside experienced operators and mentors while learning how to safely operate side lift collection vehicles servicing municipal customers across the Hobart region.

What You’ll Be Doing \n

\n
• Learning to safely operate a side lift collection vehicle
\n
• Completing daily vehicle inspections and safety checks
\n
• Collecting waste and recycling from municipal customers
\n
• Working safely around traffic, pedestrians and residential areas
\n
• Performing manual handling activities where required
\n
• Working outdoors in varying weather conditions
\n
• Building confidence and capability through structured training
\n
• Delivering excellent customer service while representing Cleanaway
\n

You don’t need previous truck driving experience.

To be considered, you must:

• Hold a current unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence
\n
• Have a minimum of 8 demerit points available on your licence
\n
• Be willing to obtain a Heavy Rigid (HR) Licence
\n
• Be willing to complete a pre-employment medical assessment
\n
• Be willing to complete drug and alcohol testing
\n
• Be willing to complete early morning starts
\n
• Be physically capable of undertaking operational duties
\n
• $32.23 per hour
\n
