Customer Solution Architect

We are looking for an experienced Customer Solutions Architect to join Siemens Smart Infrastructure and help our customers transform the way they operate their buildings and infrastructure.

As Customer Solutions Architect, you will act as the lead architect for complex, integrated building solutions, bringing together technologies across Building Management Systems (BMS), security, energy management, digital services, ICT networking, cybersecurity, software platforms and operational technology (OT).

You will work closely with customers, sales, product management and technical teams to understand business and operational challenges and translate them into secure, scalable and innovative technology solutions that deliver long-term customer value.

You will lead the development of customer-centric solution architectures, aligning technology with business objectives, operational requirements, digital transformation initiatives and future technology roadmaps. You will define future-state architectures and migration pathways that enable scalability, interoperability, resilience and sustainable customer outcomes, while ensuring solutions meet relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements and governance frameworks.

A key part of the role will be integrating diverse technology environments. You will design architectures that connect Siemens and third-party systems, defining integration strategies, data flows, APIs, interfaces, middleware and system interaction models. You will identify opportunities to simplify and consolidate fragmented technology environments into more unified platforms that improve operational efficiency, visibility and user experience.

You will also work closely with customer IT and OT teams, ensuring proposed solutions align with enterprise networking, cybersecurity and infrastructure requirements. This will include validating requirements across servers, virtual environments, cloud connectivity, edge devices and remote access capabilities.

The role also has a strong strategic and commercial focus. Working alongside Sales and Product Management, you will identify opportunities to expand solution scope through Siemens technologies and services, uncover whitespace within customer environments and support major bids and strategic opportunities. You will help position Siemens solutions in ways that provide clear technical differentiation and compelling customer value.

Finally, you will help keep Siemens and our customers ahead of the technology curve. You will monitor developments across digital buildings, IoT, cloud, cybersecurity and smart infrastructure, identifying opportunities to introduce new technologies and improve customer outcomes. Your market and customer insights will also help influence the evolution of future Siemens solutions and offerings.

You will have proven experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, systems integration or a related technical leadership role, ideally within buildings, infrastructure, industrial technology or a similarly complex environment.

You will bring a strong understanding of technologies such as BMS, energy management, security, IoT, cloud, networking, cybersecurity and OT, together with experience integrating complex technology ecosystems.

Just as importantly, you will be comfortable working directly with customers and senior stakeholders. You can translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes, influence strategic decisions and build trusted relationships across both technical and commercial teams.

A strategic mindset, strong communication skills and the ability to balance immediate customer needs with longer-term technology roadmaps will be essential.
