The Business Development Manager will maintain and grow relationships with all customer segments for Concrete within the South-East Melbourne area while achieving assigned sales and profit growth goals. The role involves supporting Rapid Premix Group's product and service offering to both account and non-account customers in the South-East Melbourne and Peninsula regions, with a focus on growth opportunities. Interaction with customers will occur through telephone, email, and face-to-face meetings. This role is primarily new business development with some account management.
Establish market presence, grow market share, sales, and profitability through proactive stewardship of the relationship with assigned customer accounts across all segments
Penetrate assigned accounts by selling new or additional products or services to current clients and/or finding additional clients within the geographical region of South-East Melbourne
Manage a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success
Develop positive relationships with clients
Act as the point of contact and handle customers' individual needs
Generate new business using existing and potential customer networks
Conduct site visits during product delivery to support both team and client requirements, ensuring product quality and responsiveness to climatic and specific site conditions
Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner
Report on the status of accounts and transactions
Set and track sales account targets aligned with company objectives
Current driver's license
Previous experience in Ready Mix concrete sales is a must have
Superior written and verbal communication
Listens, understands, and adapts to an audience and can communicate clearly and persuasively
Proven ability to build effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders across all business units
Takes ownership of outcomes, and can balance accuracy with timeliness
Frequent travel will be required across the Melbourne Region
