About the Parent Infant Program/Mental Health Division

The six bed Parent Infant Program (PIP) provides specialist inpatient services to mothers and their babies under 24 months of age as part of a regional mental health service. PIP offers a safe and supportive environment for the parent(s) and their babies to work through any mental health concerns that may impact on the parent/infant relationship.

About the role

The Maternal Child Health Nurse provides specialist infant health, developmental and physical assessments to infants on the unit and is a key clinician and resource for the multidisciplinary team regarding infant wellbeing.

A regular day will see you:

• Reviewing infants
• Supporting parents and
• Educating staff on wellbeing of specific infants and developmental needs of children under the age of 24 months

You will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You’ll bring energy and drive to your work and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.
