Junior Project Coordinator

The Junior Project Coordinator will work closely with Senior Project Managers and site teams to assist with the coordination and administration of construction projects from commencement through to completion. This role will be primarily site based, with some time spent at the Tullamarine office. The successful candidate will play an important role in project safety, documentation management, financial administration, subcontractor coordination and client communications while developing their skills within the construction industry.

Key responsibilities

Assist Senior Project Managers with the day to day coordination of construction projects

Attend site and project meetings

Monitor action items and assist with closing out outstanding tasks

Track project milestones, deliverables and required follow-up actions

Assist with subcontractor coordination and communication

Support project planning, programming, scheduling and site coordination activities

Coordinate project information between site teams, office staff and operations management

Assist with implementation and maintenance of project OHS requirements

Assist with project cost tracking & reporting

Assist with preparation of progress claims and client variations

Maintain site safety records, registers and compliance documentation

Maintain project filing systems and document control procedures

About you

Strong organisational and time management skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

High level of attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities and deadlines

Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Professional attitude and willingness to learn

Current Victorian Drivers License

Must have a vehicle to commute to and from work

Desirable: Construction industry experience, Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering or similar, Experience working on commercial construction projects, Knowledge of OHS requirements within the construction industry
