We're looking for a high-performing Restaurant Manager who is ready to take full ownership of restaurant performance, develop an outstanding team and lead a successful, high-volume operation.

As Restaurant Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall performance of the restaurant — from people and culture through to guest experience, operations and financial results. You'll lead and develop your management team, build a strong pipeline of future leaders and ensure the restaurant consistently delivers the high standards GYG is known for.

What You'll Be Responsible For

\n

As Restaurant Manager, you'll take ownership of all areas of restaurant performance, including:

• Leading the overall day-to-day operation of the restaurant
\n
• Building, coaching and developing a high-performing leadership and Crew team
\n
• Recruiting great people and developing a strong pipeline of future Shift Leaders and Managers
\n
• Creating an energetic, positive and accountable team culture
\n
• Delivering an exceptional guest experience every day
\n
• Driving operational KPIs across service, quality, sales, labour and food costs
\n
• Managing restaurant financial performance, including sales, labour, COGS, inventory and controllable expenses
\n
• Managing rostering, recruitment, performance management and broader people processes
\n
• Maintaining GYG's high standards across food quality, food safety, people safety and restaurant presentation
\n
• Leading busy service periods from the floor and setting the standard for the team
\n
• Identifying opportunities to grow sales, improve profitability and strengthen restaurant performance
\n
• Ensuring compliance with GYG systems, policies and operational standards
\n
• Working with the wider GYG leadership network to continuously improve and deliver great results
\n

You'll have genuine ownership of your restaurant and be empowered to make decisions that improve your people, your guests and your results.

What We're Looking For

\n

We're particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:

\n

\n
• Strong management experience in a fast-paced hospitality, retail or customer-focused environment
\n
• Proven experience leading, developing and motivating large teams
\n
• Confidence managing a high-volume operation and leading through busy service periods
\n
• A track record of delivering strong customer experiences and operational results
\n
• Commercial awareness and experience managing sales, labour, food costs and other financial KPIs
\n
• Strong recruitment, coaching and performance management capability
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
\n
• The ability to develop other leaders and build a strong management team
\n
• A hands-on leadership style — you're comfortable being on the floor, leading from the front and setting the standard
\n
• A positive, accountable and solutions-focused approach
\n
• The ability to balance great people leadership with strong commercial performance
\n

Previous quick-service restaurant experience is valuable, but great leadership, commercial capability and the ability to build high-performing teams matter most to us.
