At TechnologyOne, our goal is to simplify life for our customers and help them succeed in an ever-changing world. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Brisbane team and contribute to the ongoing development of our Human Resource product.

In this role, you'll work on large-scale, mission-critical software used by organisations across Australia and beyond. You don't need human resources product experience - what matters is your ability to build reliable, well-designed applications in C#. You'll join a team that values curiosity, collaboration, practical problem-solving and continuous learning, where you can make a meaningful impact on a product used by thousands.

If you enjoy working on complex systems, writing clean and maintainable code, and delivering software that genuinely helps customers, this role offers a chance to do work that matters within a supportive and high-performing team. You'll also have the opportunity to explore and apply AI and emerging technologies to improve the way we build, test and deliver software.

What you'll be doing:

• Develop clean, efficient, and maintainable code that is robust, scalable, and testable.
  
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to design and implement new content capabilities and features.
  
• Deliver intuitive solutions to complex challenges, ensuring a seamless user experience.
  
• Integrate security protocols and devices to enhance the safety of our SaaS platform.
  
• Stay ahead of industry trends by engaging with developers and architects to explore new technologies and development practices.
  
• Explore and apply AI and emerging technologies to improve software development, engineering productivity, testing and product capabilities.
  
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools effectively and responsibly to support coding, debugging, testing and problem-solving while maintaining strong engineering and security practices.
  
• Mentor and support junior team members, fostering skill development and growth.
  
• Build a deep, hands-on understanding of TechnologyOne products, becoming an expert in functionality, design, and architecture.
  
• Apply best practices in software quality, including test automation, to meet performance and reliability goals.
  
• Contribute to continuous improvement across development practices, tools and ways of working.
  
• A genuine passion for C# development and agile ways of working, with the curiosity to take on new challenges.
  
• A focus on writing clean, high-quality code and continuously improving your craft.
  
• Strong development skills in .NET and C#, with experience integrating systems through RESTful and SOAP services.
  
• Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write efficient queries, troubleshoot performance issues, and optimise database operations to support scalable, high-performing applications.
  
• Hands-on experience actively using AI-assisted development tools as part of your daily engineering practice, with a proven ability to apply AI to improve code quality, testing, delivery speed and problem-solving.
  
• You can critically evaluate emerging technologies and know where they deliver real technical and customer value, not just hype.
  
• At least 5 years of proven experience working in software development.
  
• A degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
  
• The ability to thrive working both independently and as part of a team.
  
• Confidence using tools like Git, Rider, JIRA, and Confluence.
  
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to share knowledge and support the development of others.
  
• Experience with React is a plus
