$160,000 (negotiable for the right applicant) + 12% superannuation + salary packaging + fully maintained company vehicle for business and personal use

Alzheimer's Queensland (AQ) is one of Queensland's leading not-for-profit aged care providers, delivering community care, allied health, respite and residential aged care services.

Our allied health services operate under AQ Health, providing multidisciplinary clinical services that help older people maintain their independence, mobility and quality of life.

As AQ Health enters its next stage of growth, we are seeking an experienced and commercially capable Allied Health Manager with a clinical background in physiotherapy. This is an opportunity to lead an established team, strengthen service delivery and increase participation across our clinic-based, community and aged care services.

The Opportunity

\n

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and working as part of AQ's Leadership Team, you will have overall responsibility for the performance, development and growth of AQ Health across Queensland and New South Wales.

\n

You will provide strategic, operational and clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team while developing new referral pathways, strengthening existing partnerships and increasing utilisation of AQ Health's clinics.

\n

A key focus will be expanding AQ Health's private-pay and government-funded services while ensuring clinical quality, financial sustainability and a consistently positive client experience.

\n

This is a hands‐on leadership position. You will maintain a manageable physiotherapy caseload to support your clinical currency, remain connected to service delivery and provide guidance in complex clinical matters.

What You Will Do

• Lead, support and develop a multidisciplinary Allied Health team.
\n
• Drive sustainable growth across clinic-based, community and aged care services.
\n
• Increase clinic participation by building referral pathways, promoting services and strengthening community awareness.
\n
• Identify and develop opportunities to expand private-pay and government-funded services.
\n
• Monitor clinician caseloads, clinic utilisation, service demand and workforce capacity.
\n
• Maintain a manageable physiotherapy caseload and provide leadership in complex clinical matters.
\n
• Oversee clinical governance, professional standards and high-quality, evidence-based practice.
\n
• Manage budgets, revenue performance, resource utilisation and operational outcomes.
\n
• Build productive relationships with general practitioners, specialists, hospitals, aged care providers and community organisations.
\n
• Support the Allied Health team to deliver an efficient, responsive and welcoming client experience.
\n
• Contribute to organisational planning, service innovation and AQ's broader growth strategy.
\n

About You

\n

You are an experienced physiotherapist and accomplished Allied Health leader who can combine clinical credibility with strong operational and commercial capability.

\n

You understand how to support clinicians, build effective services and turn growth opportunities into sustainable outcomes. You are confident engaging with referrers and community partners and are equally comfortable reviewing clinical performance, workforce capacity, budgets and service utilisation.

You will bring:

• Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist.
\n
• Extensive clinical experience as a physiotherapist, with demonstrated progression into leadership or management.
\n
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary Allied Health teams.
\n
• Experience developing and growing allied health services, clinics or programs.
\n
• Strong operational, financial and strategic management capability.
\n
• The ability to build referral networks and increase client participation.
\n
• Knowledge of Support at Home, the Commonwealth Home Support Programme and the broader aged care environment.
\n
• Experience in private health, private practice or fee-for-service operations will be highly regarded.
\n
• Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder-engagement skills.
\n
• A current driver licence and the ability to obtain a satisfactory National Police Check.
\n
