Stantec is seeking talented Civil or Environmental Engineering Graduates to join our Water business , across Water Infrastructure and Planning & Advisory teams in Brisbane.

We integrate planning, approvals, design, construction oversight, commissioning and operational readiness, and asset management expertise to support long-term community needs. Our Queensland services span engagements such as long-term partnerships with local utilities designing water and wastewater infrastructure for a growing region, delivering integrated master planning and asset management solutions, and supporting regional communities with managing increasing flood risk.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for Civil or Environmental Engineering Graduates to join one of the following groups in our Queensland Water business:

Water Infrastructure: You’ll help design and deliver water and wastewater infrastructure -including reservoirs, pump stations, pipelines and treatment plants -supporting reliable water supply and ensuring all the wastewater is treated and discharged safely back into the water cycle. Working across the project lifecycle, you’ll contribute to practical, sustainable engineering solutions that meet growing demand, address the risks posed by aging infrastructure and protect public health.

Planning & Advisory: You’ll support the planning and design of water and wastewater infrastructure to meet the diverse and evolving needs of our future communities. You’ll support through data and spatial analysis, hydraulic, demand and water balance modelling, engineering calculations, and technical reporting. Working across multidisciplinary teams, you’ll contribute to feasibility studies, hydraulic capacity assessments, infrastructure optioneering, and long-time strategic planning, helping deliver innovative and efficient solutions for clients.

Qualifications

About you

Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Civil or Environmental) or equivalent.

Passion for learning and problem solving.

Currently in the final year of your degree or 1-2 years post-graduation.
