As we prepare to open new roles in Melbourne’s Northern Suburbs in January 2027, we’re excited to welcome dedicated Early Childhood Teachers (ECTs) to join our warm, collaborative teams. These hubs will comprise of 3- and 4-year-old kindergartens, Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) and other community services, providing cohesive education and care to families. Developing strong communities of practice, the hubs will be supported by an educational leader, a variety of skilled mentors, and a unique pedagogical framework.

What will you do?

\n

Working under the mentorship of a Lead ECT, and alongside a dedicated team of ECTs and Educators, your role involves collaborating with families, assessing children's development, and fostering a supportive team atmosphere.

• Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences for small groups of children.
\n
• Work closely with the other ECTs and Educators to create a warm and inclusive environment.
\n
• Observe, document, and support each child’s growth and development.
\n
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and the team.
\n
• Maintain a safe and happy learning space that encourages curiosity and confidence.
\n
• Contribute to team discussions, ideation and administrative tasks.
\n

Do you have what it takes?

\n

\n
• Bachelor’sdegreeand registration as an Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) with VIT (full or provisional).
\n
• Current certification in First Aid in an Education and Care Setting (HLTAID012).
\n
• Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009).
\n
• Completion of (or willingness to complete) the Department of Education’s "Protecting Children: Mandatory Reporting and Other Obligations – Early Childhood" course (2024).
\n
• Completion of (or willingness to complete) the "DoFoodSafely" course (Department of Health Victoria) and "All About Allergens for Children’s Education and Care" training (Food Allergy Aware).Australian work rights
