The Opportunity

As a Financial Support Specialist, you'll play a meaningful role in helping customers navigate challenging financial circumstances while delivering positive outcomes for both our customers and our business. You'll manage a portfolio of accounts, supporting customers experiencing financial hardship and working collaboratively to find sustainable solutions.

This is a role for someone who enjoys balancing customer care with commercial decision-making. You'll assess hardship applications, negotiate tailored repayment arrangements, and work closely with customers to understand their individual circumstances. Every day brings a different challenge, requiring strong problem-solving skills, sound judgement, and the ability to communicate with empathy.

What you'll be doing:

• Manage a portfolio of accounts and engage with customers experiencing financial difficulty.
• Assess financial hardship applications and negotiate appropriate solutions.
• Review requests for contract variations and restructuring arrangements.
• Work with customers to establish sustainable repayment solutions and positive account outcomes.
• Build strong customer relationships through empathetic and professional communication.
• Apply sound judgement to balance customer needs with business risk considerations.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and industry requirements.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, legal representatives and external service providers where required.

You'll ideally bring:

• Experience in financial hardship, collections, customer service, lending, banking or financial services.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to negotiate outcomes that support both customer and business needs.
• Sound problem-solving and decision-making capability.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate documentation.
• Resilience and confidence when managing sensitive customer conversations.
• A customer‑centric mindset with a genuine commitment to delivering fair outcomes.
• An appreciation of compliance, risk management and responsible lending practices.
