About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Service Manager to lead, scale, and optimize our service division in Victoria. In this pivotal leadership role, you will take full ownership of the Service P&L, driving after-sales revenue growth, operational excellence, and uncompromising safety standards across our technical operations.

You will leverage your deep expertise in SAP and industrial service management to mentor high-performing teams, strengthen key stakeholder relationships, and deliver exceptional value to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • P&L & Financial Management: Own the service P&L, managing service labour, parts sales, operating costs, contribution margins, and annual budgeting. Drive growth through strategic pricing, maintenance contracts, and aftermarket support.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee the end-to-end execution of installations, maintenance programs, breakdowns, and service contracts. Implement continuous improvement initiatives, KPIs, and preventive maintenance frameworks to minimize downtime.
  • SAP & Business Analytics: Utilize SAP to track service orders, backlogs, technician productivity, warranty trends, parts inventory turnover, and profitability leaks.
  • People Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop multi-disciplinary teams of service technicians, installers, supervisors, and support staff, fostering a culture of accountability and safety.
  • Customer & Principal Relations: Act as the primary escalation point for major operational issues. Manage high-level relationships with global Principals/Factories and key account stakeholders.
  • Safety & Compliance: Champion a zero-harm safety culture, ensuring full compliance with WHS legislation, quality systems, and site-specific safety protocols.

Skills & Experience

  • 5-10+ years of progressive experience in Service, Installation, or Field Service Management within an industrial, engineering, material handling, or technical environment.
  • Proven track record of managing a service P&L, driving after-sales revenue, and controlling operational costs.
  • Advanced SAP proficiency (or equivalent enterprise ERP systems) for service operations, analytics, and performance reporting.
  • Demonstrated success in leading, mentoring, and scaling multi-disciplinary technical field teams.
  • Strong background in managing complex warranty claims, preventive maintenance programs, and key stakeholder relationships.
  • Trade Qualification with significant operational management experience; leadership, WHS, or asset management certifications will be highly regarded.
