We are a growing holiday rental management company operating across the South Coast and Jervis Bay area, managing approximately 250 short-term rental properties.

\n

We’re seeking a confident and highly organised Housekeeping Coordinator to coordinate the day-to-day housekeeping operation across our property portfolio.

\n

This is a hands‑on operational role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment, solving problems as they arise, coordinating people and resources, and ensuring properties are presented to a consistently high standard for our guests.

\n

You’ll be the key day-to-day contact for our housekeeping network and need to be comfortable making decisions, prioritising competing demands and keeping the operation moving when plans change.

\n

About the Role

\n

Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, you will take ownership of the day-to-day coordination of our housekeeping operation.

\n

No two days will be exactly the same. You may be coordinating housekeeper coverage, resolving an issue with an upcoming arrival, conducting a property inspection, onboarding a new housekeeper or addressing a quality concern.

\n

You will work closely with our Maintenance Coordinator and broader Operations team to ensure issues are directed to the right person and resolved efficiently.

\n

This is not a traditional people‑management position; however, you will be expected to confidently coordinate our housekeeping network, provide direction and feedback, and take ownership of operational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Housekeeping Operations \n

Act as the primary day‑to‑day contact for our housekeeping network.

\n

Manage the Housekeeping operational phone and respond to live operational issues.

\n

Coordinate housekeeping allocations, availability and coverage across the portfolio.

\n

Respond quickly to housekeeper cancellations, missed or incomplete cleans and other same‑day issues.

\n

Ensure properties are ready and appropriately presented for upcoming guest arrivals.

\n

Coordinate rectification where housekeeping standards have not been met.

\n

Identify and address immediate linen or property presentation issues.

\n

Triage maintenance issues identified by housekeepers and ensure they are directed to the Maintenance Coordinator or appropriate team.

\n

Maintain awareness of upcoming occupancy, peak periods and potential resourcing gaps.

\n

Support the ongoing recruitment and growth of our housekeeping network.

\n

Review prospective housekeepers and participate in interviews and suitability assessments.

\n

Conduct housekeeper inductions and provide clear expectations around PHH standards and procedures.

\n

Conduct first‑clean inspections and provide feedback to new housekeepers.

\n

Identify areas where additional housekeeping capacity or backup coverage is required.

\n

Work with our Operations Assistant, who will support the administration associated with recruitment, onboarding and compliance.

Quality & Performance \n

Conduct property and housekeeping quality inspections.

\n

Monitor housekeeping quality and guest cleanliness feedback.

\n

Provide timely, practical feedback to housekeepers where standards have not been met.

\n

Follow up recurring housekeeping issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

\n

Identify significant or recurring performance concerns and elevate these to the Head of Operations.

\n

Support ongoing improvement in housekeeping standards across the portfolio.

Communication & Training \n

Maintain clear and professional communication with housekeepers.

\n

Communicate important operational updates, procedures and expectations.

\n

Assist with housekeeping meetings, training and ongoing development.

\n

Build positive working relationships while remaining confident in addressing standards and accountability.

About You \n

You’re calm under pressure, highly organised and comfortable making decisions in a fast‑moving operational environment.

\n

You understand the difference between something that is important and something that needs to be dealt with right now , and you can prioritise accordingly.

\n

You enjoy solving problems, working with people and taking ownership rather than simply passing issues on.

\n

You are approachable and supportive but equally comfortable having direct conversations when standards or expectations are not being met.

\n

Experience coordinating operations, people, services or similar.

\n

Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.

\n

Ability to manage changing priorities and frequent interruptions.

\n

Confident communication and relationship‑management skills.

\n

Practical, solutions‑focused approach to problem solving.

\n

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

\n

Confidence using technology, systems and mobile applications.

\n

Ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes.

\n

Current driver’s licence.

Highly Regarded \n

Experience within housekeeping, cleaning, hospitality, accommodation or property management.

\n

Experience coordinating cleaners, contractors or service providers.

\n

Experience managing allocations, scheduling or operational coverage.

\n

Experience recruiting, onboarding or training staff or contractors.

\n

Experience conducting property or quality inspections.

\n

Experience providing performance feedback and addressing quality concerns.

\n

Experience within a fast‑paced, multi‑property environment.
