What you'll be doing The primary function of the OPMHS Mental Health Professional is to work collaboratively as part of the multi-disciplinary team in order to provide high quality, evidence based clinical care to Older People presenting with complex mental health issues in collaboration with the consumer &their carer/s, the consumers General Practitioner, Aged Care Services, other medical professionals and Non-Government Organisations (where applicable). The OPMHS consumer cohort requires specific and specialist assessment and interventions associated with the complexity of their clinical presentations including the presence of co-morbidities such as physical health problems, drug and alcohol use / abuse and issues of ageing including Dementia and the Behavioural &Psychological Symptoms of Dementia.
