About the role

As part of the Connected Care Team, you'll contribute to strategic initiatives that strengthen integrated, patient-centred care and improve health outcomes for communities across the state.

Connected Care works at the forefront of health system reform, partnering with diverse stakeholders across NSW Health, government and the broader health sector to drive innovation and system-wide change. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects that influence the future direction of healthcare, while developing your career within Australia's largest health organisation.

In this role, you will manage and deliver complex projects that support NSW Health's strategic priorities and government objectives. Drawing on your project management, analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement expertise, you will help develop evidence-based advice and recommendations for senior leaders, supporting informed decision-making and the successful implementation of key reform initiatives.

About you

We are seeking a motivated and experienced leader to join the Connected Care team and drive the delivery of key health system reform initiatives. The successful candidate will:

• Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of complex strategic reform initiatives that support the delivery and scale-up of virtual care, the Virtual Hospitals Strategy and care-in-the-community models across NSW, improving patient outcomes, reducing avoidable hospital utilisation and digitally enabling integrated, person-centred care.
• Provide high-level strategic and policy advice to senior executives and key stakeholders on emerging issues, risks, opportunities and priorities impacting Connected Care reforms and broader system transformation.
• Oversee the planning, governance and delivery of priority reform programs, ensuring outcomes are achieved on time, within scope, and aligned with government and organisational priorities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clinicians, health service providers, consumers, government agencies and other stakeholders to facilitate collaboration, manage competing priorities and drive reform outcomes.
• Lead stakeholder engagement and consultation processes to support effective change management, address implementation challenges, and achieve sustainable service improvements.
• Analyse complex health system issues, emerging trends, evidence and data to inform strategic decision-making and identify opportunities for innovation and system improvement.
• Prepare and oversee the development of high-quality briefs, reports, executive correspondence, Cabinet submissions and other strategic documents for senior leaders and government.
• Foster a high-performing and collaborative team culture, providing leadership, guidance and support to staff contributing to Connected Care reform initiatives.
