Job description

Wicka is a small, established family-owned importer and wholesaler of homewares, garden products and baskets. We are looking for a reliable and capable Warehouse Assistant Manager to join our close-knit team.

This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working in a busy warehouse, takes pride in doing things properly and can be relied upon to help keep the day-to-day operation running smoothly.

5 weeks paid annual leave

Warehouse Assistant Manager

Wicka – Bayswater / Kilsyth, VIC

Wicka is a small, established family-owned importer and wholesaler of homewares, garden products and baskets. We are looking for a reliable and capable Warehouse Assistant Manager to join our close-knit team.

The role will include:

  • Assisting with the daily management and organisation of the warehouse
  • Picking, packing and preparing customer orders
  • Loading and unloading containers and deliveries
  • Forklift operation and stock movement
  • Receiving and checking incoming stock
  • Maintaining an organised, clean and safe warehouse
  • Assisting with stock control and general warehouse duties
  • Working closely with management and other warehouse staff
  • Helping supervise and coordinate work when required

What we are looking for:

  • Current forklift licence – essential
  • Strong and confident forklift competency – essential
  • Previous warehouse experience
  • Reliable, dependable and punctual
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Well organised with good attention to detail
  • Physically capable and comfortable in a hands‑on warehouse environment
  • Able to work independently and as part of a small team
  • A practical, positive attitude and willingness to get involved wherever needed
  • Own reliable transport is strongly preferred

This is an important role within a small family business, so we are looking for someone who wants to become a dependable part of the team rather than simply fill a position.

Bayswater / Kilsyth area, Melbourne's eastern suburbs.
