Job description
Undertake all aspects of the Carpentry trade, including but not limited to; reactive and planned maintenance and construction activities on our client's buildings and open space assets; and assist in reducing operational costs, and mitigating risks associated to ineffective and/or faulty assets.
Key responsibilities
- Undertake all aspects of Carpentry regarding maintenance and construction of Modus' client's assets
- Undertake all activities to high standard of workmanship
- Assist in servicing assets in accordance with relevant standards to protect our client's assets and the community from potential hazards
- Utilise external resources as required to ensure services are delivered in a timely manner
- Engage all relevant utilities and service providers for the purpose of; inspections and approvals and identification of faults etc
- Use initiative to solve problems that arise on site in order to complete tasks as efficiently as possibleProvide efficient and effective customer service
- Assess the adequacy of information contained in requests
- Complete works with minimum disruption to occupants
- Undertake works to agreed service standards
About you
- Trade Certificate in Carpentry or equivalent (preferred)
- Current Driver's Licence (mandatory)
- Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- First Aid Certificate (preferred)
- Working at Heights Ticket (preferred)
- Elevated Work Platform (Under 11m) (preferred)
- Strong, effective communication skills (written and verbal)
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to administration systems
- Demonstrated ability to follow direction and instruction
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Minimum 1-3 years' experience in general trade carpentry work on small and large scale commercial and retail facilities
- Ability to work in high level security premises such as banks, petroleum stations, government departments etc
