Senior Asset Management Systems Officer

We're seeking an experienced Senior Asset Management Systems Officer to join our Asset Management team. In this influential technical role, you'll lead the improvement and integrity of asset management and spatial systems, ensuring critical infrastructure data supports informed planning, maintenance, investment, and operational decisions across the organisation.

About the role

As the Senior Asset Management Systems Officer, you will provide specialist expertise in asset systems, data management, and process improvement. You will play a key role in enhancing the quality, accuracy, and functionality of asset management systems while supporting stakeholders with meaningful analysis and reporting.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading asset integrity improvement initiatives and identifying opportunities to enhance asset management and spatial systems.
• Managing and maintaining asset data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Analysing asset information and providing technical advice to support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Developing and implementing asset data collection processes and standards.
• Delivering system enhancements that improve automation, maintenance, planning, and infrastructure operations.
• Supporting the development of asset renewal models and integrated asset planning processes.
• Maintaining infrastructure programming information and supporting project forecasting and reporting.
• Creating insightful reports, dashboards, and spatial visualisations using GIS, Power BI, and other business intelligence tools.

About you

You are a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional with strong experience managing asset and spatial data systems. You enjoy solving complex problems, improving business processes, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes.

To be successful, you will bring:

• Demonstrated experience in asset systems management and delivering data integrity improvements.
• Sound knowledge of asset management principles and practices.
• Experience working with large datasets and asset information systems.
• Strong proficiency in GIS and other data management and analysis tools.
• Experience interpreting engineering, design, or as-constructed plans.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
