An opportunity for an experienced support worker, EEN or nurse (student or qualified) to work with a patient with advanced motor neuoeron disease. The patient has tracheostomy, PEG, ventiation, suction, and the only ability to communicate is with eyeball gauze.
Workers should have extensive experience with PEG, ventilation and respiratory management, having worked with other complex non-ambulant patients in the past in a home care setting.
To join the team you will:
Live within 30minutes of Caroline Springs
Have extensive experience with respiratory management inc ventiation and suction, manual handling and PEG feeding
Instrinsic common sense and initate
2 set shifts per week 7am to 3pm
We are looking for an immediate start for the right candidate.
Valid Australian Driver's License
Valid CPR Certificate
Proof of rights to work in Australia
NDIS Worker Screener Check
Relevant experience in community disability care ideally with patients who have no or limited movement and require respiratory support
Reliable and abiltiy to commit to 2 set shifts per week and assit with covers
Exceptional critical thinking
This position pays $50ph weekdays with penalities applicable for nights and weekends as per award.
