We’re searching for a confident, hands-on Head Chef to lead the kitchen of a popular community hotel in the beautiful Northern Rivers.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced chef ready to take the lead of a busy kitchen, manage a strong team and deliver quality, crowd-pleasing food—all while enjoying the lifestyle that comes with living minutes from the coast, hinterland and Byron Bay.

The Opportunity

  • $120K + super
  • Full ownership of kitchen operations
  • Lead, develop and retain a capable kitchen team
  • Drive food quality, consistency and presentation
  • Manage rostering, labour, ordering, stock and food costs
  • Maintain strong food safety and compliance standards
  • Work closely with venue management to grow the food offering

About You You’ll be an experienced Head Chef or ambitious Senior Sous Chef with:

  • Strong experience in busy pubs, hotels or high-volume venues
  • Proven leadership and team-building skills
  • Sound control of food costs, labour and kitchen profitability
  • A calm, organised and practical leadership style
  • A passion for quality pub food and memorable guest experiences
  • Full Australian working rights
