Brisbane Respiratory and Sleep Specialists are looking to add a casual Medical Receptionist to their team. You will be working alongside a part-time practice manager and two part-time medical receptionists. The opportunity to progress to a Permanent Part Time Role is available for the right candidate. Comprehensive training will be provided.

Key responsibilities

- Responding to incoming phone calls in a courteous and professional manner \n
- Managing all patient appointments, including cancellation list and ensuring GP referrals are up to date \n
- Meet and greet of patients visiting the practice \n
- Assisting with general patient enquiries via telephone and email in a polite and courteous manner \n
- Managing call patient recalls in conjunction with specialists \n
- Maintain a high quality of record keeping for patient files \n
- Preparing and running patient clinics \n
- Ensuring a high level of accuracy with data input into the patient management system \n
- Ensuring patient records are up to date for the consultations \n
- Reviewing upcoming clinics and ensuring all patient records are in order before the day of the clinic and appointment reminders have been sent out to patients \n

About you
\n
- \n
- A minimum of 12 months medical reception or administration experience, specialist practice highly desired \n
- An exemplary phone manner and compassionate demeanour \n
- Exception communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to tactfully handle difficult interactions with patients and their family members \n
- Strong work ethic and reliability \n
- Previous experience using Xestro would be highly regarded, if not, experience with other practice management software such as Gentu or Genie \n
- Proficiency with patient billing, including Medicare, Private Health Funds, DVA and Workcover \n
- Australian work rights are required for this position \n
