THE ROLEThe Kinship Engagement worker works to the kinship care model rolled out across Victoria, identifying the needs of children, young people and their carers; stabilising and supporting current kinship care placements with kin and kith families; provide improved and ongoing support to placements through early identification of placement vulnerabilities; act as a point of contact for carer concerns or issues; and support the provision of kinship brokerage funds to support placements and families.ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDEProvide quality, timely and effective assessments and support services.Forge strong connections across the department and with external stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach to kinship care.Participate in supervision, direction, training and development.Please open the position description to read more.This role requires a Working with Children Check.Further advice on obtaining this check can be found here: https://www.vic.gov.au/working-with-children-checkFor more information on what this means, and all other requirements, please see the Position Description.HOW TO APPLYApplicants are encouraged to apply online.
