Expressions of Interest are invited for the position of Short-Term Principal at St Matthew’s School, Narrogin, commencing 1 January 2027 and concluding 31 December 2027, to cover a period of leave.

To be considered for this exciting leadership opportunity, applicants must be practising Catholics and experienced educators committed to the mission, values and ethos of Catholic Education.

Applicants should demonstrate:

\n

\n
• A minimum four-year tertiary qualification (postgraduate qualifications or progress towards a Master's degree is desirable).
\n
• Accreditation to Lead (or a commitment to obtaining Accreditation to Lead).
\n
• Current Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA) registration and a current Working with Children Check, or eligibility to obtain.
\n
• Highly developed relational leadership skills, with the capacity to foster a positive, faith-filled and high-performing school culture.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to build staff capability, strengthen teaching and learning practices, and enhance student wellbeing and outcomes.
\n
• Strong instructional leadership with a commitment to improving student outcomes through literacy, numeracy and evidence-informed practice.
\n
• Authentic Catholic leadership with the capacity to strengthen Catholic identity and foster meaningful partnerships with families, parish and the wider community.
\n
• Demonstrated commitment to inclusive education and supporting diverse learners, including students with additional needs and students for whom English is an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D) is highly desirable.
\n
• Experience in a rural, regional or small-school setting is highly desirable.
\n
